Echocardiography that produces direct results on cardiac activity, structure of the valves and the dimensions of the heart, and

Stress testing applications that supply the required data on the patient’s effort capacity; rhythm, tension and vascular obstruction after the conditions of effort.

Stress testing is one of the important applications performed to reveal hidden disorders of the heart. During this test, the patient walks on a treadmill. Our cardiologist adjusts the walking speed and slope of the walking direction to put stress on the heart. Hidden cardiac disorders can be detected through electrocardiography examinations and measurement of the tension during this activity. The heart in distress during the testing procedure will alert and give an insight to the doctor on possible cardiac problems. Using various cardiac blood tests and imaging techniques, the program is also capable of revealing variable risk factors that lead to the disease, thus enabling early diagnosis and treatment.

When should individuals under risk undergo the process?

Cardiologic check-up examination for at least once per year is crucial for every male over 35 and female over 40 years of age. Furthermore, since cardiovascular diseases have nowadays become common also in the 30’s, cardiologic check-up should not be taken lightly by individuals with young relatives having the disease. In addition, hypertensive individuals, smokers, overweight individuals and individuals under stress are also in the risk group. You are welcome to Kolan Hospital’s special cardiologic check-up program if you are under multiple risk factors and seek the correct answers to all questions about your health and wellbeing.
